NEOLITH & LIMESTONEGREY & WHITE

Promomarbre presents one of its most successful realizations in this magnificent private residence located in a beach near Rabat in Morocco. It is the story of a perfect marriage that is naturally made at Promomarbre: The Kahla Grey stone from the Limestone collection and the Statuary from our Neolith collection from The Size. The depth of the formats used is limitless. The spaces to be renovated seem infinitely larger. The idea behind the design was to have a modern, minimalist yet natural space, then the Statuary and Kahla in a range of finishes have fulfilled this mission perfectly. This freshly renovated private residence had 3 bathrooms to be redesigned in the same colors as the rest of the house: grey and white.

The choice was very easy because the owners wanted to keep the same material in the whole house and only the finishes had to change for each application. So Kahla Grey quartzite from the Limestone collection and Statuary from the Neolith collection were used to create the skin of these bathrooms.

What is Neolith?

Neolith is nothing more than natural sintered stone reconstituted at over 1200°C temperature and 600 bar pressure into a natural stone slab. The control of the process allows to re-create the most prestigious marbles such as those of the Carrara region while having technical characteristics more important than those of a granite: 0% absorption and scratchproof! Promomarbre presents you in one of its realizations of choice some models of this unusual material!

What is Limestone?

Natural stone in its absolute purity. Promomarbre chooses and follows carefully its quarry in order to have the best blocks of raw material. We have developed a number of finishes that change the texture both visually and tactilely. We present in this file the Beauregard and Passirac finishes exclusive to Promomarbre which give a particular texture to the Kahla Grey stone.

Bathroom: Glossy wall, Matte floor

Kahla floor in PASSIRAC finish, a brushed flamed finish that highlights the stone through its rough and soft appearance at the same time, ideal for floors regularly wet because the surface offers a non-slip texture.
Bathroom countertop solid in Kahla Beauregard, a finish that gives all its beauty to the stone with a satin texture.
Walls in polished Neolith Statuary in 6 mm thickness with "Open Book" installation.
7 cm thick shower tray in solid stone with a significant slope for large water flows. Finish of the

Passirac floor

The Passirac flamed-brushed finish provides a smooth, even texture with a beautiful relief creating a non-slip surface that is also smooth, as if it had been polished by the natural passage of a stream over time. Indeed, the process of flaming consists of passing the stone slabs under a flame at high temperature so that a combustion reaction breaks up all the micro-crystals of quartz and calcite of which this stone is very rich. The result is a perfectly rough and matte surface (Fléac finish) which becomes more or less smooth and slightly reflective depending on a specific brushing sequence: the perfect compromise between flamed and brushed.

Grey and White, matte and glossy

The tension produced between the two textures is great! The perfectly smooth and shiny wall in Statuary contrasts with the matte and relief of the veins created by the brushing. However, the imperfection that makes the sink and the countertop natural and unique objects is compensated by the regularity of the brush stroke, the perfection of the machining and the homogeneity of the texture. This is what makes Promomarbre products exceptional. You can see how perfectly this solid wood suspended countertop is machined to accommodate the aluminum crossbars.

We appreciate the depth produced by the formats of the slabs used, whether for the walls or the massive walk-in shower tray, whose slopes are cut according to a minimalist design in keeping with this sober and sumptuous environment. The marriage of materials and textures gives a feeling of raw nature, which borders on the industrial in some aspects. However, the veins of limestones and white Carrara statuary mark these materials with the seal of nature, reminding us that it is nature that has forged these textures from the depths of its bowels. Promomarbre does nothing but section them, transforming them by its knowledge in order to magnify them and fill their use of surfaces of life.

Let the light in... and the magic happens...

From its 100% natural composition, resulting only from granitic dust whose crystalline minerals are carefully separated, isolated, and selected to be melted at 1200 ° C to recrystallize thereafter at a pressure of more than 600 bar, the sintered stones such as those of Neolith by The Size, stand out from ceramics not only by their characteristics and extraordinary resistance but also by a tactile and visual texture almost impossible to dissociate from a natural marble or granite. The light is reflected in the same way leaving a crystalline granulometry. This material being constituted in the same way in the totality of its mass, it is even possible to polish it on the edges or in surface.
